Scene 1 Analysis

Lucifer

Aesthetics:
You have the intro with writing of describing the premise of the episode. The scene opens with music and moves in and out of camera shots with controlled focusing till introducing the main character. 

Space & Composition:
In the shot where Lucifer is stopped by the police officer it does and over the shoulder shot having the neither the officer of Lucifer within the centre of the shot 

Acting:
Lucifer - Confident/Silly
Officer - Authoritative/Tough

Then the stance changes part way through the scene

Lucifer - Manipulative/Controlling
Office - Passive/Submissive

Lucifer starts being all jokey and quick witted towards the officer then Tom Ellis gets more serious and starts to use a secret power from being the Devil to get the desire out of anyone.

Narrative:
While this being a relatively short clip it still follows a 3 act structure that most TV/Films/Theatre.

ACT I - Setup(Characters)
ACT II - Confrontation(Pulled Over)
ACT III - Resolution(Protagonist Controls)

ACT I
Straight away it starts by talking about the Devil then moving to zooming in shots around the main character showing different parts around him in focus. Then focusing into the main character Lucifer

ACT II
Police officer stops the main character and confronts him to turn down the music and for speeding.

ACT III
Lucifer starts to use his power to gain information out of the officer that he wouldn't normally admit to doing then lets him go.

Editing:
Lots of control focusing shots around Lucifer, Multiple different over the shoulder shots to show a conversation throughout the scene with each shot being long and informative. 

Sound:
There is music in the scene that starts off screen just playing in the background then shifting into being played on the radio as the scene plays. 

Technical Aspect:
The camera kept zooming in and out from the main character with lots of focus pulling.  

Representation: The representation of the scene of Lucifer as a persuasive and controlling person.
